DISABILITY ISSUES (T/TA TO STATE COMMISSIONS)
The National Service Inclusion Project - www.serviceandinclusion.org Provides training and technical assistance services to programs and commissions designed to increase the participation of people with disabilities in national service programs. Services focus on providing information about the Americans with Disabilities Act, reasonable accommodation, recruitment, and retention of people with disabilities.
EDUCATIONAL SUCCESS
NWREL, LEARNS Project - www.nwrel.org Provides program staff with the skills and resources to effectively design and implement high quality education programs with particular emphasis on literacy, out-of-school time and mentoring programs for youth. Assistance includes regional training of trainer events on effective practices in such areas as preschool and family literacy, America Reads, tutor training, program start up, and literacy assessment. Hosts regularly updated website of downloadable education and tutoring resources.
EVALUATION TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE
Aguirre International, Project STAR - www.projectstar.org Assists Corporation-funded programs with all aspects of the evaluation process, including writing outcome-based objectives, developing evaluation plans, analyzing data, and reporting results. Assistance is provided through state and regional workshops, on-site visits by trained evaluation coaches, toll-free telephone consultation, newsletter, evaluation Tool Kit, resource library and internet website.

Walker and Company- www.walkerllp.com Assists directors of national service programs in administration and management of federal funds. Training emphasis is on financial oversight requirements for state and national grantees and sub-grantees and state commissions.

populations. Training provides strategies for dealing with situations
in which issues of diversity and communication can interfere with

LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT
National Service Leadership Institute - (415) 561-5950 Provides leadership development and training for the staff of national
service programs. The National Service Executive Program (NSE) is a five and a half day training with three-day follow-up six months later, designed for Program/Project Directors to enhance personal leadership
abilities, leadership skills, increase program effectiveness in building collaborative teams and forming partnerships with others in national service. The National Service Leadership Development Program (NSLDP) is a
three-day training on the same topics and appropriate for all staff of national service programs. Leadership training assistance is also available for curriculum development and training delivery as resources permit.
LEARN & SERVE AMERICA NATIONAL CLEARINGHOUSE
University of Minnesota - www.servicelearning.org Provides Learn & Serve America grantees, other Corporation programs and the service-learning field extensive and well-organized information and materials about service-learning resources, programs and effective practices.
NSLC houses an ever-growing library collection and maintains a website (www.servicelearning.org) which provides service-learning information.
The website features the latest service-learning news, a searchable library catalog, NSLC publications available for order and download, bibliographies, service-learning listservs, informative "how to" tool kits and an up-to-date calendar of events.
LEARN & SERVE AMERICA TRAINING AND TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE EXCHANGE
National Youth Leadership Council - www.lsaexchange.org Strengthens the effectiveness of service-learning programs within four primary audiences: Learn & Serve America grantees and sub-grantees; k-12 teachers and administrators; community-based organizations, colleges and universities. Service is provided through regional networks of volunteer peer mentors doing site visits, online and telephone consultations.
MEMBER DEVELOPMENT AND MANAGEMENT
Catholic Network of Volunteer Services - www.cnvs.org Targets the special needs of AmeriCorps programs, especially Education Awards Programs. Services focus on recruitment, selection, motivation and retention of members and volunteers, member and volunteer development, team-building, developing community partnerships, multi-site program management, service-learning methodology, including member and volunteer orientation and reflection sessions, problem identification and solution, time management and day-to-day organizational skills.
NATIONAL SERVICE RESOURCE CENTER
ETR Associates - www.NationalServiceResources.org Provides technical assistance information related to all aspects of the planning and operation of community-based national service programs. Resource Center services include a lending resource library, distribution of publications including Next Steps, and a website that includes the national training calendar and downloadable documents produced by the Corporation and its technical assistance providers. ETR also manages the Corporation's effective practices database, Epicenter.
