DREW CARBERRY
Drew
has served on the national service scene as a program director of
an AmeriCorps program, the Director of Programs for a state commission,
and as an independent consultant. He is, at his core, a teacher
and owes much of his development to those positions and from conducting
a dropout prevention program for at-risk inner-city youth for seven
years. He has served as project director since the inception of
the Program Management T/TA project, and is the staff contact for
the North Central Cluster, National Directs and the Tribes and Territories.

Jeff Birdsall
Jeff Birdsall is passionate about effective leadership and has been facilitating
groups, teaching environmental education, and directing service programs over the past fourteen years. Recently he directed two AmeriCorps programs, The
Northwest Service Academy and The Youth Volunteer Corps, as well as co-founded a non-profit youth program, The Wilderness Volunteer Corps. Jeff
has led trainings for national service programs and non-profits throughout the country and is currently living outside of Boulder Colorado, where he is pursuing a Master’s degree at Naropa University.
Jeanne H. Bradner
Jeanne H. Bradner is an author, consultant, trainer and speaker on volunteerism, board development and leadership. She is the author of
Passionate Volunteerism, The Board Member's Guide, A Beneficial Bestiary and Leading Volunteers for Results: Building Communities Today. She is a
contributor to the John Wiley & Sons Handbook of Volunteer Management and The Nonprofit Handbook-Management.
She served as Director of the Illinois Governor's Office of Voluntary Action;
Midwest Regional Director of ACTION; and Executive Director of the Illinois Commission on Community Service. She is an adjunct faculty member and
program specialist for the Volunteer Management Certificate Program at Illinois' Harper College.
AMY COHEN CALLOW
Before relocating to Maryland, Amy Cohen-Callow worked for the largest Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) located in New York City.
Responsible for training at RSVP, Ms. Cohen-Callow integrated seven years of experience managing volunteer programs utilizing older adults to create
interactive, experiential training curriculums geared towards adult learners. She has been both lead trainer and panelist presenter for workshops at the
local and national level. Ms. Cohen-Callow has provided training and/or technical assistance on some of the following topics: the volunteer
management cycle, volunteer/staff relationships, a customer service approach to managing volunteer programs, programming for impact and using technology for program management.
ALLEN DIETZ
Allen Dietz is currently a consultant specializing in program management,
evaluation, and leadership training. He was Director of Training, Planning, and Evaluation with the Texas Commission on Volunteerism and Community
Service for three years, and directed a large statewide AmeriCorps program in Texas for four years. Allen volunteers as a national disaster mental health
specialist and trainer with the American Red Cross, and is on the Board of Directors of the National Association of Service and Conservation Corps. Allen
has a broad background in fundraising and proposal writing for non-profit organizations, has been involved in training health and human service
professionals for 25 years, and has extensive experience as a therapist with individuals recovering from traumatic experiences.
Mary Fehlig
Mary
Fehlig is a marketing strategist who specializes in developing creative
projects in corporate giving, corporate-community partnership, nonprofit
development, employee volunteer programs, corporate citizenship,
and more. She draws on a wealth of 25 years of professional experience
in the fields of sales, marketing, and business development.
A recognized leader in the field of corporate social responsibility, Mary served on the national board of
directors for Business for Social Responsibility. She is a frequent speaker and workshop leader for such organizations as the Points of Light Foundation,
National Association of Fundraising Executives, Montgomery County Corporate Volunteer Council, and Greater Washington DC Business for Social Responsibility.
Jody Heuberger
Jody Heuberger is the Director of the City Of Des Moines Parks AmeriCorps Service Project. The only Educational Award Program in the State of Iowa;
most of their program centers around building volunteer capacity, linking resources to neighborhoods, coordinating summer programming and coordinating adult and youth community service programming. She has
experienced AmeriCorps at both the state and program levels.
She consults for pre-apprenticeship programs, corporations, schools, and other non-profits on career development, ropes courses, teambuilding, and
volunteer management.
Ms. Heuberger received her B.A. in Recreation from Iowa State University and her master’s work is in Youth and Human Service Administration at the
University of Northern Iowa.
GEORGEAN JOHNSON-COFFEY
Georgean is a trainer and consultant in the areas of nonprofit management and volunteer involvement.
Georgean conducts national and regional interactive workshops on Volunteer Management topics such as employee/volunteer relations, recruitment,
recognition and evaluation, family and youth volunteering, and other aspects of Nonprofit Leadership including customer service, conflict management, organizational development and strategic planning.
As a presenter, and key note speaker, Georgean communicates concrete
strategies as she motivates individuals and organizations to utilize their talents, skills and gifts.
Georgean has several years nonprofit management experience in a number of healthcare, government, social service and faith-based organizations.
She holds a Master's in Education/Staff Training and Development.
LESLIE KLEBAN, M.S.
Leslie Kleban specializes in helping organizations and individuals define and
meet their goals. She provides consulting and training in the areas of strategic planning, individual and organizational assessment, team building and program development.
Leslie has held a variety of positions in the corporate and nonprofit sectors.
She taught at Towson University, for the National Service Leadership Institute and is a grant reviewer and facilitator for the Corporation for National and Community Service.
Ms. Kleban holds a MS in management from the University of Maryland University College. She is on the board of the American Society for Training
and Development (ASTD), Maryland Chapter and is an associate member of Maryland Nonprofits (MANO).
LIZ MAGOON
Liz offers nearly 25 years of experience to clients in developing strategic and
project plans, installing change initiatives, strengthening board and work team processes to get work done, and resolving conflicts, which impede productivity.
She has become a recognized expert in the use of the Partnering process to build high performance teams to carry out multi-million dollar projects in the
construction field. She has also been actively engaged in a number of community development and public involvement projects. Liz offers training in
a variety of topics of concern to managers and employees. Her professional background spans business and industry, all levels of government, hospitals
and community health care facilities. Liz has earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, and has completed work for a Master of Science in Organization Development from Pepperdine University.
ROSELYN MEIER
Roselyn is an organizational development consultant in private practice. She established her company, Meier and Associates, in 1998 after spending 25
years as an internal organizational effectiveness consultant, a trainer and management consultant for nonprofit organizations. Roselyn's background
includes senior management, strategic planning, community and international collaboration, financial and program development experience with local and
national organizations. She also directed and provided consulting and leadership development in a five-state region for the YMCA of the USA. She holds a Masters' degree in Adult Education from Springfield College in
Massachusetts.
Ellen Winiarczyk
Ellen Winiarczyk (win-‘ar-zic) she worked in educational, non-profit and public
organizations for 20 years. Her work for the past several years includes training, facilitation, coaching, curriculum design, and strategic planning as a
consultant for national service programs including Senior Corps, AmeriCorps*USA and AmeriCorps*VISTA. She is an affiliate faculty with the National Service Leadership Institute and has designed for them community
change and asset-based community development curriculum. She has been a team leader for the administrative review of several governor appointed
commissions across the U.S. She has participated in national training design teams for AmeriCorps programs in Conflict Resolution and for VISTA volunteers and supervisors.
She worked with service and conservation corps programs and served as the Education Director for the Washington State Service Corps (WSC) and the
Washington State Conservation Corps during the 1990s. At the WSC she provided training and technical assistance to programs across the Northwest in
the areas of training, program management, service-learning and conflict resolution/mediation. She directed wilderness-based programs for women,
differently-abled persons, adjudicated youths, gay lesbian and transgender groups and corporate clients for Outward Bound and other wilderness organizations.
Ellen works locally in Seattle with community-based organizations in program
management and sustainability, planning, conflict resolution, cross cultural relations and leadership. She works as a community-based facilitator with the
Fremont Public Association, the Alliance for Education, Camp Fire Boys and Girls, Tacoma Community House, Yakima Valley Substance Abuse Coalition, the Washington Reading Corps and Intermountain AmeriCorps. She also
coaches teachers in service-learning in a public middle school and supervises their VISTA volunteer.
Ellen has a Masters in Environmental Studies with a focus on tribal natural resource policy and watershed management. She holds teaching credentials in
biology and physical education. She is also a trained mediator. Ellen is a former board member for the International Association for Experiential
Education. For the past 2 years worked to establish a cross cultural education exchange with the Todd County Education Department on Sicangu Lakota land in South Dakota.
GINLIN WOO
Gin served multiple terms of service as a VISTA volunteer in both Seattle, WA
and Brooklyn, NY from 1968-1972. Her early service background includes gang counseling, youth development, and community organizing on housing and
education issues. Gin has worked in numerous local, national and international settings to collaborate with others committed to cultural competence,
multicultural education, school improvement, cross-cultural collaboration, anti-oppression, substance abuse prevention, and community building work.
As an independent consultant for more than twelve years, she has been retained as a trainer, facilitator, curriculum developer, project manager, board
member, planner, coach and mentor. She has worked for organizations as diverse as the United Way of America; the U.S. Center for Substance Abuse Prevention (CSAP); the Pierce County SafeStreets Prevention Campaign,
Tacoma, WA; the National Multicultural Institute (NMCI); the Department of Women's Studies, University of WA; the Port Gamble S'Klallam Tribal
Community of Kingston, WA; and the Governor's Office for the City of Atlanta. Gin's work in education includes literacy development, program planning,
curriculum development, and capacity building projects for the Monterey County, CA Office of Migrant Education; the Council on Interracial Books for
Children; Morehouse College School of Medicine; the Ministry of Education, the Republic of Palau; the Department of Education, University of Guam; Yap State
Department of Education, Federated States of Micronesia; the Seattle Public Schools; and the Region IX National Origin Desegregation Assistance Center.
