We assist individuals to develop the techniques, skills, knowledge and attitudes required to foster individual, organizational and community development. Our success is based on an intimate understanding of the special needs of trainees. Our training expertise includes in-country and third-country training projects. We’re proud to have provided over 10,000 Peace Corps volunteers with pre-service and in-service training including intensive language instruction, cross-cultural adaptation training, area studies and technical training in dozens of disciplines from adult non-formal education and literacy to watershed management and small enterprise development. We provide training design, materials, implementation and assessment for a wide variety of long- and short-term projects in the U.S. and abroad. Our experience includes managing and conducting complex training projects in Latin American, Caribbean and African countries. CHP provides experience and skills that can be applied to a wide range of projects addressing such areas of concern as economic growth, democracy and governance, health, education and training, and the environment.
