It is policy of CHP International:
A. To conduct all operations without discrimination against any employee or applicant for employment because of race, color, religion, sex, age, disability, national origin, sexual orientation, veteran status or political affiliation or belief.
B. To take affirmative action to ensure that applicants are employed and employees are treated without regard to their race, color religion, sex, disability, national origin, sexual orientation, veteran status or political affiliation or belief during employment.
C. To apply such affirmative action, but not limit it to the following: employment, upgrading, demotion or transfer; recruitment or recruitment advertising; layoff or termination rates of pay or other forms of compensation; and selection for training including apprenticeship.
At headquarters, the CHP President is responsible for implementation of the Affirmative Action Program. In the field, Project Directors are responsible for implementation of the Affirmative Action Program. The Affirmative Action Plan is available for review in the Project Offices and at CHP International headquarters at any time during normal business hours.
1. All facilities which the company maintains for the use and benefit of its employees are desegregated, both in policy and use. The restrooms are comparable for both sexes.
2. Minority and female employees are afforded a full opportunity and are encouraged to participate in all company-sponsored educational, training, recreational and social activities.
3. Directors, managers and supervisors are made to understand that their work performance is being evaluated on the basis of their equal employment opportunity efforts and results, as well as other criteria.
4. It is a responsibility of directors, managers and supervisors to take actions to prevent harassment of employees placed through affirmative action efforts. Employees who have experienced or have knowledge of discrimination or sexual harassment are encouraged to report it to Equal Opportunity Coordinators listed below:
Appointed Equal Opportunity Coordinators will work toward ensuring effective implementation of equal opportunity and affirmative action policies. The coordinators names, telephone numbers, and e-mail addresses will be posted at all offices.
