"All personnel were highly qualified."
-- Prime Contractor's Senior Project Manager

Growth and development begins with the individual. By helping an individual to learn the tasks required to survive, prosper and work effectively with others, a course is set not only for individual success, but also prosperity for family, community and country.

CHP's depth of experience in all facets of adult education and training allows us to provide clients with programs tailored to their exacting needs. CHP designs, develops and administers training needs assessments. We develop the training plans, curricula and materials; locate, lease and furnish training facilities; handle placements and establish, monitor and evaluate home stays; train teachers and trainers; monitor performance; and evaluate training.

CHP's training philosophy is an applied philosophy, honed and refined after over two decades of experience in a wide range of adult education situations. Training is always goal-centered and learner-centered: CHP trains for results. Experiential learning acknowledges and draws upon the adult learners' experience -- both past lived experience and new experiences structured specifically to focus the trainee's concentration on the learning objectives at hand. At the end of the learning sequence, the trainee applies what he or she has learned to new, real world situations; theory and generalization form the bridge between the "experience" phase and the "application" phase. CHP encourages experiential learning whenever possible and practical, but always in harmony with technical and subject-matter requirements. Our proven methods of skill transfer and participatory learning develop human capacities. We enrich the training experience by working creatively with nongovernmental organizations and educational institutions.

CHP has extensive experience working with development workers, educators, trainers and community leaders. Our experience includes pre-service and in-service skills training covering dozens of subjects, from agroforestry to elementary education, from health and nutrition to NGO management. In addition, CHP is recognized for our effective intensive language training programs, our innovative cultural adaptation skill development methods, and our practical and up-to-date area studies training approach.
